Thanks. Yes, I agree the right side loses weight/readability at this size. I much prefer the left part seen as this, though. I really like the colours too, and as you say, sometimes it looks a bit...plain? redundant? That's probably why I decided to add the left vertical sub division to it.
Actually I like x1 version. At x3 the right is somehow hard to read or perhaps distracting to me. I like the choice of colours and atmosphere of the picture - interesting, but maybe reticent a bit... (couldn't find a word, hope I used it properly).

I always like to try new techniques/ideas for my own stuff.
Very nice. I like this as much as the piece you're referring to, but in a different way. You did a good job of using that inspiration to go your own way, I think.
