Such a delightful surprise after a rather uninteresting preview. I do think that the slimy hole on the floor has a conflicting perspective compared to the lab table though.
After viewing the WIP, I can say... "Wow" and "Awesome"...

It is certainly not an easy task to capture a feel of darkness and obscureness in such a big room, but you've managed to do that quite well.
Good focal point with the blood, makes a lot it easier for the eye.
I love the ambient you done.
