Very nice, keep practicing and you will improve. We all started by doing mistakes and fixing them up :)
Check out the forum, there are a bunch of great tutorials that they are really helpful to understand what's pixel art and how to apply it.
Best regards
thank you! it means alot too me, and I agree :) i can definetly spot the errors that you pointed out now, and yes i am still learning, i'm very new to pixel art. it's funny though, i was very reliant on brushes and filters to make nice sprites and textures, untill my computer broke down and i had to use my school computer, which only had paint, so i started working on pixel art with paint, and when i finally got Paint.NET to work, i use less filters or brushes, although i have to admit that i did use a glow effect for the eye (to save time, because i still have to learn and aquire patience), i'll go through the animation again and fix it up ;)
Hi there! I think you should take off the glow on the eye for people to accept this piece on the gallery. This kind of glow is not considered as a pixel art.
As an advice, maybe you should made the right foot more little to make it looks like he is moving both legs. You can cut the body from the knee and move it 1 pixel down. Example: imagizer.imageshack.us/a/img713/5821/im8c.gif
The last thing, is to clean a little bit the pixels.
To make the animation more fluid, maybe it would need a couple of frames more. But I think you're still learning, so I hope my advice can help you out a little bit.
no, no, it looks like that because the image is slightly blurred from being converted to a GIF, but since it cant smooth the edges, it looks like the foot is missing :/
ahh, thank you for the tips :)
