thanks for the dithering styles link, it will come in handy on my future pieces. :]
Didn't pixel over the photo but yes that is the one I used as reference. You'll notice from the photo that the right side of my face is very washed out with lamp light and the left side is highly shadowed so that's why my pixel version has the same effect.
However... half of the face is very detailed and dithered... while the rest is not...
It think it would be better to keep the same style for the whole portrait...
For some reason the preview has 3579 colors and 24 kB ( >10 kB = not on front page header). Was it resized or something?
Great portrait! Really realistic! Agree with Harmonica. The line on the hand near wrist is too black for me.
You're beautiful :) I think the shadow of the face is too noisy ) Maybe another dithering method would look better? :)

Great job on the skin, but the hair seems pretty flat to me.
not sure what happened with the small view but it's fixed now!
