Created explicity for the "Bait and Switch" weekly challenge, following the color cap and frame limit set out in the rules for that challenge. Because these two were meant to be similar to the heroes in Contra, I used colors from the NES palette and made each a palette swap of the other.

You're not OCD, just observant. Fixed. Thanks for the heads up.

Haha, that's a fun idea! My ocd is being triggered by "VICT" being slightly shorter than the other text, but nice job.

Right away I recall about the CONTRA. It would be very funny to see there like this ))

Actually, this is a much more egalitarian ending scenario than saving a princess, since neither of these two were deprived of their agency as a plot device. Also, none of that "your princess is in another castle" stuff to worry about here.

And they lived happily ever after.  The end!

Hahaha, I love it! ♥ This surprise was a good one, I think!

I don't know exactly what would have happened in the 80's but these days, if you ever come across two sweaty, shirtless men in matching outfits, with fantastic pecs and abs, toting huge phallic symbols under their arms, I think you can safely assume that this is how they celebrate their victories.

Hahahahahaha I didn't expect that, but I am curious about what would happen if this appear in a real videogame in the 80s. Absolutely fantastic

Thanks. And, yeah, I do not know how to draw real guns, so they're holding the tubular, bazooka/machine gun things I imagine might be able to fire all the projectiles in an NES run-and-gun game.
