This is some contract work for an undisclosed title (permission granted to post).
Four frames per character (25x25pix; 3 idle, one attack frame) not including projectiles or kicked-dust. Interesting animation task. I tried to make the idle frames serve as warm-up attack frames also, but using a walking-idle animation would have also been a good idea retrospectively to avoid all the sliding about.
No palette restrictions and separate colour scales for hair and certain clothing elements for easy palette swapping, hence a lot of redundant colours.
