Haha, this work is absolutely delightful. It really feels like a Victorian painting. Little guy's got so much personality in those eyes.

@Connor, it is not the same palette, but the colours are similar

@CELS, I compared the head with images in the internet of squirrels and you are right, the head is too round

@FlyGuy, yes I actually love early 20th century illustrations, and I take lots of inspiration for the style and colours

I love the colors you use in your works.. It's like a storybook or photo album from a 100 year old attic.

I love your choice of colours and the gloomy style. Instantly recognised this as yours from the preview. The rendering is fantastic, but I think the way you've drawn the head is a bit odd / off. The shape of the head is weird, and it kind of looks like you wanted half of the head covered in total darkness, which makes no sense given the position of the candle.

This came out so well.

Favorite part is the acorn robe.

Same palette as "The curiosity shop"? Love it.
