Hrhr, I'm really glad you like it, cheers!
It's great to have you back. :)
Wow! All excellent Mandrill but the the middle axe bottom row is just superb
Really? Haha, thank you very much! Your opinon is always much appreciated. :)
Thanks!
I tried to add some reds and greens to make the stuff look chipped and dirty... didn't work.:O
Combi-Melta + Chainsword = Win. These are all nice and crisp and easily illustrate the range of weapons. I'd love to see a grimier version, though, as these look like they're newly forged by the Mechanicum.
A missile launcher fitted with a bayonet... Now I've seen everything
Cheers for the compliment! :)
You pixel work is fantastic!
Thank you.
Nice to see that you find the palette pleasing to your eyes.
Thanks for that. :)
Awesome, do you have any pictures painted marines?
Hehe, that's not very healthy to ones wrist I guess.
Cheers! :)
Hrhr, Mrmonius Tarius Khorne berserker of the pixel chapter.
Thanks! :)
Very cool man, diggin the skulls. Nice color choices too.
I have some models of chaos space marines but i am not often play in it but some times painting
Very cool stuff! I have a desire to shoot from all of them )
10/10 would use to bring skulls to the skull throne
I have an ork and chaos army roughly around 2000 points each, both of them are are 40k.
I very rarely get to play a match or two though. There are just not enough people around to play with where I live. But I still paint and convert new models from time to time. :P
Thanks again and yes it is, you never know when the next loyalist wants to play peek-a-boo with you. :P
Hah! It's Kharn's master crafted plasma pistol. I see what you mean. Looks so damn cool in this brilliant 90s comic style.
Certainly one of the greatest renditions of the most favoured Khorne champion there is.
@ CELS & jalonso
That is the power of chaos, a fight til death! Blood for the blood god, skulls for the skull throne!
Awesome colours. For some reason they make me think of Chaos Engine.
@CELS, Did you just imply that I may be a bronie? Don't make me go to Norway and manscape you.
@jal: Did... did you just imply that I'm a geek? Don't make me come down to South Florida and kick your ass in a My Little Pony live action roleplaying duel.
@Mandrill: My favourite plasma pistol in 40K is this one. It looks so utilitarian and realistic compared to most other designs. And it's even got a bit of Giger in there, I think, which makes it even sexier.
I have to compliment you on your work once again though, because seeing this a second time made me appreciate a lot of details I didn't see before. The combi-weapons, the lovely autocannon ammo drum, the... the... is that a bayonet on a missile launcher?
EDIT: Just recognised the Dawn of War quote. So much awesome.
Very nice presentataion, colors, pixels and while no weapon expert/geek thay all look great.
Hrhr, cheers! :)
I didn't really know where to go with the plasma rifles. I'm not a huge fan of too boxy or round designs. The early illustrations of plasma guns, espacially the time when Bonner was painting his brilliant Warhammer pieces, look almost like eldar weaponry. You can bet I stay the hell away from that kind of stuff. The newer edition ones on the other hand feel almost like they were made out of marsian plastic.
Guess I tried to position the shape somewhere in between those two extremes and failed.
High res 40k pixel mockup you say? Let's see what Gork and Mork have to say about that....
There was no question who was behind this one
I love it all, except the plasma weapons' nozzles. They remind me of some old plasma pistols from 2nd edition days. Very cone shaped. It's mostly a personal preference, but I also feel like the flash suppressor holes conflict with the shape of the nozzles on both the plasma pistol and the plasma gun.
Any chance of seeing a high res retro 40k pixel art game mockup some day?
Thanks again, nedink! :)
