The sprite is lost a bit with the background, but background!!
I agree with previous comments, and I think that if you lower saturation of grass color, make it a bit darker and shift color tone just a bit to blue it would make a big difference. Also you can use darker shadow beneath the caracters to make them stand out more. I like different helm design that you've created. :)
I know this may be a bit controversial, but.... I think the grass looks good.
My only criticism is that the player sprites don't pop as much as I would like, and the trees sort of blend in with the grass too much.
I think it's really cool that you managed to give each knight personal character without exaggerating their different features in World of Warcraft style.
Like a lot about this. I agree with surt that the grass is awesome but feels noisy. Keeps your focus from letting the characters really stand out.
Grass is pretty awesome but Ithink it could really use some larger patches of light and dark tiles. Looks kind of (low-frequency) noisy to me as is.
That grass is amazing. I like the feel of everything and I believe it's a great work of art all together. Good job.
That grass texture you have going on is very interesting, I like it a lot.
Thanks for all the advice, It's all really helpful!
Next time I'll focus more on giving the players some contrast to make them pop out more, they definately blend into the grass too much. I think ill also try less saturated grass with bigger patches.
