I decided to scrap the chocolate chicken idea because the idea of having to pixel feathers and whatnot sounds complicated, and went with a chocolate snake for the challenge instead. Couldn't think of a fitting background so I decided to whip up a chocolate bar background thing instead, but I don't know if it makes the piece qualify as a scene; if it doesn't, please let me know in time and I'll attempt to fix it before the deadline. Also, the background may be temporary, because there's always a possibility I think of a better one before the deadline, as long as it doesn't sound complicated and doesn't increase the color count (I'd love to stay at 5).
Also, I think the snake is kind of blending in with the background, but since I can't think of any other fitting background that doesn't sound complicated, I guess I'll have to take what I can get.
Uses a slightly reworked palette from my previous submitted piece.
EDIT: I thought of a better background over night, so I decided to scrap the chocolate bar thing and add a new background. I hope it qualifies as a scene now. :)

Thanks. :)
I decided to redo the shading and attempt to go with your advice (I also looked at some chocolate texture refs), as well as try to fix the coil. I think I failed at the coil though (not a big change, and there's not much time left anyway). I hope it looks better now, and from now I can't make any more changes.
