I went for a more obvious robot look. I chose a black lcd screen so that he could do emoticon style faces (think EVE from Wall-E).

The original Megaman sprite was pretty fat, but the proportions were weird too, so I went for something more realistic, though still roughly 'kid' proportions.

The white marks would change color to reflect the weapon.
