Let's put it this way: Too much detail is a problem with contrast.
I'd really prefer if you got rid of the detailed hieroglyphic textures on the bricks and replaced them with flat surfaces with perhaps the occasional mixed-in detailed brick. All that pixelnoise is confusing my eye about where to look at.
Really digging the torches/intro and level screens. Gameplays a tad simple but I think that is also nice; and beautiful icon!
I am a fan of the white outline as I feel the character would possibly not have enough pop for it's dark nature to the background. Will have to take a look at the game. Congrats on release.
Everything is very good looking, I just don't like the white outlines around the character. It makes him look like an icon/sticker of some sort, almost as if he's not apart of the level.
A whole year!? Wow, incredible job on sticking to one project for that long!
