That's what I'm talkin' about! Same with the Wii U game pad. Wait don't you mean the Y and B buttons on the SNES controller? Because that's what I was thinking.
EDIT: Added some clarification.
It seems like it takes after the SNES B and Y button placement. I personally enjoyed how one could rest the thumb on both buttons and press the buttons simultaneous or separately depending on the need.
Well my thumbs are always rested on both buttons. I guess I've adapted to this sort of layout. My thumb can rock either back or forth to alternate between buttons. It's difficult to explain.
I just can't see how that's at all usable because the thumb comes at an angle from the right so how on earth do you press the red button without touching any part of the blue one?
I always loved this angle of buttons. All the Game Boys had this angle where my thumb would be in the awkward position. These positions on my version are the perfect layout for me! I guess that's also why hate the fact that I can't change button mappings on the 3DS Virtual Console.
I like the colour design but what's with the A and B button placement? It goes completely against the angle of the thumb.
I don't normally like this sort of pixel art, but this piece is unusually well rendered. Good job.
Lol yes I meant Y and B.. I just edited my post, after feeling like a complete dolt for that. The placement is superior in my opinion because the thumb angles onto the gamepad better that way, at least for me.
