it's a good start, but can easily be improved :) 

improving line art, shading, reducing colors and improving color choices can all be really easily fixed here, and would make the piece look great!

Also, the tail flame style is a little different than its body.  I really like the style the tail flame gives off and would like for the rest of the sprite to conform to the style suggested in the tail flame
