@Zizka, @Drazile, I personally think (due all and the deepest respect to other great submissions that are far beyond my skills) this one has no match and is by far the best, buuuuut... the winner got those votes...
let's respect them.
;)
Aw, thanks everyody! I'm just happy to have placed at all
Aww, thanks!
All I can say is practice, practice, and practice! It's cheesy, but true
This was my favorite entry! It's very pretty c:
teach me your ways
@Carnivac- Thank you!
@Pavanz- Thanks! Yeah, the lighting is pretty weak, definitely going to work on that in the future
This is awesome, her expression is pure evil, one of my favorites in this challenge.
But I agree with EdJr, the lightining could be interacting more with the overall piece.
My fave from this challenge. Has personality, nice animation and actually don't mind the dithering too much here. Reminds me of some Mega Drive game I can't quite recall. I voted for this.
@Siikikala- Thanks!
@EdJr- Thanks for the critique! I see what you're saying, and I may come back to this someday when I've got some spare time, but even if I don't, I'll still keep your crits in mind for future pieces. I've got a lot to learn about palettes, dithering, lighting, and, well, everything. I will make the loop smoother since that'll only take a minute.
@inphy- Thank you! I find pixeling relaxing, so I'm going to make an effort to do it as often as I can
After seeing this in the forum I was looking forward to this being submitted, but it was submitted already! The animation works well, the face is really well done and the expressions look natural. Definitely looking forward to more stuff from you.
This is very good overall, especially with the highlights!
Imho, the dithering seems highly unneccessary. The purple shadow doesn't make a lot of sense as well, both for the hue and contrast, and the constantly changing lighting should affect that area the same way it affects the brighter ones, or even more. Also, I don't think her face benefits from that red thin outline. Maybe it should interact more with the shapes, or be used only on the coat and "head tentacle". Maybe you could take some additional time and smoothen the transition between the last and first frames, as it's not so difficult to so.
These may seem like a lot of critics, but I actually like the piece!
This is really nice, the animated grin really adds to it!
que buenos colores
