This would ALMOST work in C64 AFLI mode. But you get a bug in the leftmost 3 charcolums (24x200 leftmost pixels) where the colour will be light grey. The only thing that can be done in most cases from my understanding is masking it with sprites.

Of course you might actually be able to get what you made with a sprite multiplexer and a bunch of overlayed sprites.

You need sprites either way. Looks quite neat though as it is, if not a bit like a cleaned up photo conversion.

this is so cool, why are there no comments yet?  How do you go about making something like this?  Do you have any wips (for this or other similar works)?  Id be interested in seeing the process.
