A mock-up of a potential game i am interested in making one day (when i get better at least!).

Influences mainly come from Shining Force 1 and 2, wanted to emulate their simple style graphical style, whilst updating it.

There's more than one with differing tile sets, but im hesitant to submit them until they're more different.

I'd like to thank TonyTony, CELS, King_Bobston and SuperTurnip for their advice, help and critique in my WIP thread.I'd also like to thank the people at the Pixelation forum for their help, as well as the Somethingawful and TigSource Pixel art threads for their help and advice.

Water is not persuadive, but the trees are really nice.

Ponds (rocks?) are unreadable to me.. And the connection between road tiles and bridge or town should be fixed, I think. But I like the whole piece with its simplicity, and castles are just great and have a nice choice of pallette.

ya I was gonna say, maybe try rotating the ponds 90 degrees to get rid of the face association.  Looks good though.

Generally, I like it, but the ponds look a bit like the kind of face you usually see drawn on a white sheet around Halloween.
