It looks better, but it still looks like it's cut in half down the middle.

I agree with derSteiner. It's an interesting technique, but separating different components would work better. Or at least dividing the car into 3 or 4 slices, instead of 2.

Crazy indeed (or even psychopath) :D Great job, I like this one. But the way of animation hm.. It swings quite nicely, but the edge of both animated parts is somehow too visible. And you divided the bumper, windshield and even that mark of car (is this called that way?) o.O Perhaps moving whole parts (like bumper, roof, trunk, front etc) independently would work better.
