There's a lot of dudeness going on in this piece. I'm really digging the expression and the shading.
It was based off the concept art which wasn't by me (Not sure if I'm allowed directing anyone to those images), however I gave it a few extra touches for it's own sake. Appreciate the comments and criticism. The structure is not suppose to be symettrical rather a bunch of rocks compiled together, shaping up a humanoid monster.
I shall post more work from the game, but prepare for non-dynamic poses as that's what I must do. :p
Thanks!
while I love the design overall, the forms themselves feel blobby and unstructured. the solidity and roughness you'd expect from a creature made of rock isn't quite conveyed, feeling rather soft or sludgy.
still, good stuff and I love the blue designs. I imagine the game will be awesome!
Pretty nice, but it's immediately obvious that it's not your best work. The forms look, for lack of a better term, kind of generic, not nearly as interesting as the pieces you do sheerly for the art of it.
Still, I can't see how the commissioner would possibly be dissatisfied with this. Tell us more about the game when it gets into production!
I just love the subtle color scheme. Also liking the fact that for such a static pose you sure made it look dynamic and alive.
WOAH! Awesomeness abounds in this!
Even thought there rocks are floating you can really get a sense of weight from the character. Bravo!
Niiice, love the volume and colors
