Yeah, the readability is an issue. I can see what it is zoomed in, but it's hard to see otherwise. Take the blur of yellow and white around the mouth of the troll. You can't distinguish between the fangs and the inside of the mouth--which is yellow?--until you're really close to the pixels. I would say that the design is good, but it could be made easier to read by using colors that contrast more. Keep posting more.

Well I'm grateful for all feedback I can get, since I don't have much experience with pixel art (or any kind of art for that matter), and I can see what you mean. These are things I can take account of for new pieces, and improve my skills :)

Nice idea and I agree the colours are nice. The lack of AA is in no way or shape a problem for this piece. The main issue is readability, and that comes from the pose and silhouette of the troll, which makes it somewhat hard to appreciate what's happening. And it's made worse, I think, but the lack of good 'clusters' that help the viewer recognise the different shapes and perceive depth. I also think the dithering is detracting from the piece, instead of improving it. My humble opinion, I'm not good with this sort of pixel art.
