Had the same thought. The three hair pixels on his forehead read as eyes aand a mouth to me.

The lankiness certainly looks like Benedict Cumberbatch's Sherlock, but I only noticed that after I read your description. At first glance I thought it was a random dude meant to be Sherlock Holmes, because nothing about the head and hair suggest BC specifically. Two of BC's Sherlock's most recognizable features are the shape of his face and the size of his hair. There's not much room for the face shape here, but I think you could have done plenty to evoke his hair. It's almost like a pyramid.

I like the style and it captures the look of the character, but the head looks like a pink slug/caterpillar waving it eyestalks/antennae, Now I've seen it I can't see it as anything else. :)
