Some surface by water, yes. I changed ideas for this piece a fair amount along the way, so it's best to appreciate for the aesthetic rather than it's held-in stone meaning.

Great job. I like the colours. The face is the most difficult part at this scale, I suppose. It's also my least favourite part of this piece, because I feel the face is less realistic than the rest of the piece.

Did you consider a preview like this, at all?

I thought he was sitting on a surfboard, bit I guess it's the side of a pool?
