yeah, you're right, but I thought it belonged in the same image as otherwise the resemblance with ftl might notbe clear, but i get you're critisism.
Thanks, I thought so too, but when i looked at ftl itself, and how the ships look, they don't have any more detail on them as this ship had and i planned to stay true to the game.

I must disagree, the artwork really makes you focus on the gameplay and i like it anyway, but opinions eh.
About the weapons, i thought i had made it clear that they weren't mine but appearantly not. Sorry for that!
Nice work, I love faster than light's designs.
But in my opinion its artwork is terrible. I'd prefer a more accomplished pixel art style rather than this plain stuff.
PS: Also weapons aren't your work.
I think the 'below' version should be put as a link in the description, as you mention it uses work that is not your own.
Nice work, though. I would like to maybe see some more detail to break up those large flat sections.
Don't get me wrong, what I said is not about your work here, which I think is one degree better looking than the actual game art.
About the game art making me focus on the gameplay; I've finished FTL quite a few times so far, not to mention spent 84 hours playing it and the graphics are hurting my eyes for some time now. Not that I want high end 3d graphics or something, but some good pixel art or 2D illustrative graphics are always my first choice in games.
