Thank you all for your feedback and the link. Sometimes I still have some issues with theright choice of colours. And the tree trunks.. Well I haven't noticed those "baobabs" 'till now 'o.O Will pay attention in the future ;) BTW I found it quite peculiar, that in "bare soil-stage" there was no proportion reference and one couldn't say wether the landscape is hue or small. This might be a good idea for an illusion-like piece, I think.
Love this! It seems similar in style to the mini-map in Minish Cap, but I prefer the muted color scheme you have.
Looks great. My one critique is that many tree trunks are half as wide as a house, which comes off as a problem in scale because there aren't enough trees with more normally scaled trunks.
Very nice and unusual. I like it. I don't mind the low contrast in the lower examples, but the colors in the top right don't sit right with me.

The trunks are weak but not terribly scaled.
