I dig this avatar's colors so much man!
I though there would be a bigger art behind the preview, but I'm happy with it as it is!
Lol, those 2 blue pixels. Nice clusters, but some areas come across as slightly jpg-y such as the left side and upper right above the nose. Also, I'd probably remove that single bright tan pixel you can find by following the left eye and drawing a 45° line from it.
Some of the colors are just too similar. There may be 1 or 2 too many colors, or some values could be adjusted or hur shifting between a few of the really close tans or purples may benefit the piece
Cheers!
Yep, it has some facial features of a bear due to the anatomical inaccuracy that Damian pointed out.
Should have called it "Pissed Bear-Wolf"
looks really great. but I thought it was meant to be a bear.
Yeah but we only get notified of it if he directly mssages us. :) If/when this site gets updated I hope it can be capable of notifying any mention of a user simply by using @ like Twitter and Facebook do.
Hey, thanks!
It was about time for a new avatar. The "Evil Night Mandrill" was just not up to date anymore. I feel like my style has changed quite a bit from what it was back then.
Glad you like it. :)
Massive, violent level up compared to yout previous avatar (which was also cool but this is something else).
Yay!
I love that I can tell its your art by the style. 45 degree lines for ever!
I know, but I think that everyone deserves their own personal inbox message/notification.
It absolutely amazes me that people take time to look, judge and comment my art. I always try to devote as much attention and appreciation as possible to their responses. ;)
@ albertov
Cheers for the encouragement!
You work is one of the best around here. :)
@ Carnivac
Haha, awesome! That is a huge compliment. Thank you very much.
Always looking up to your pixels.
@ Damian
Thanks!
Yep, you are right. It's jaw should be far more stretched.
I did a different version which addresses this issue. The problem with it is that you can only see the tounge and one of the fangs. Even though that would be far more realistic, I feel like doing this takes away a nice bunch of tension/aggresion from the wolf's expression. I decided against it....
But you have a good eye my friend! :) Thanks for pointing out.
@ FrostPumpkin
Thanks a ton!
Your work is absolutely amazing by the way. :)
Loving the pallet. Somethings off with the lower jaw though. I think it's a bit too wide, probably because it looks like the large tooth is inline with the front teeth instead of falling behind. That and looking at a few references, wolves mouths generaly creat sharp V shapes to a sort of a U when open, which the lower jaw seems to be breaking. Hope that helps.
@ Delicious
Whoa, thank you!
It means a lot to hear that from a top notch artist like you. :)
@ ADrawingMan
Thank you very much! :)
Took me quite some tweaking to be honest. I even had a green in there at one point...
@ Crafty
Thanks!
Hehe, that's legit. It's always a good feeling to see your stuff being used. :D
Looks so nice that I'm tempted to use it as an avatar myself. :)
Nothinge more to add, great improvement and great picture ! nice job :)
- Whoa, came after I saw you're comment/Icon : o, looks so professional.
Lol 2 other people using this icon ;P-
Who did I see that looked like your alter ego with the happy wolf profile picture next to yours in a chat box?
