Thanks. It took me a second to realize what you meant by smear, but I get it now xP.
well done i really like the smear, i havn't seen many pixel animations successfully pull it off.
I like it a lot, but the colors on everything besides the gems in the middle could probably be improved. Maybe a more saturated and brighter brown, and lighter grey for cover details, maybe make the gold parts of the book more...gold. Maybe all you'd need is to use the white to bring out some shine
That's a really good first upload.
The animation is well done and filled with details. The little puffy cloud is a very nice touch, adds a lot to the piece.
Oh, and welcome to the PJ community. Can't wait to see your other works. :)
