It's really smooth, but it's a little slow, in my opinion. When you use an animation technique like smearing, the thing you're animating should be going FAST! If you add more frames, the object you're animating will move more slowly (this is really evident in the scythe wind-up). I cut out 10 frames which I considered unnessecary, here is the result.
Frame management aside, this is a great sprite! Hope development goes well for you!
I can up the speed if I feel like it, but cutting out a bunch of frames is a bit much in my opinion. While I see your point, there's just too many frames cut out for it to feel as smooth as I wanted.
