I have a few suggestions, how you can turn this piece into a really good one. It has a bit of an unfinished feeling to it. Hope it helps :)
1. Everything looks flat, because you don't convey any feeling of roundness. There are no shadows within each "object". If the light comes from the front-up-left, the right-hand side of the tree should be darker.
2. The trunk has a marble-like or reflective texture. This is because of the high contrast of your brown colors. If you have huge brightness differences between your highlights and your dark tones, it implies reflective material. Tone it down a bit and also make the trunk more roundish (darker on the right-hand side).
3. Grass could have more contrast to the trunk. I think, the trunk should be darker overall to achieve this effect.
However, the structure of the grass looks nice. Try to iterate on this piece to make it good. I think you're 80% there :)
