Oh, I love the idea and I think this is a very nice start! But it looks very unfinished. If you have time, I'd love to see you work more on this before the challenge is over.
Maybe add some more contrast, make the surroundings a bit more detailed and darker, because Diablo 1 always took place in dark dungeons. The Butcher's face looks more surprised than angry, I think, and the horns don't look right.
A game interface would help in terms of the challenge too.

Well, actually, my target was the character only. Surroundind is just a color with some bad details, I know it =)
I probably should make it with a simple transparency on background =(

Thanks for suggestions, I'll try to fix all my fails ) It's good idea to add "classic" Diablo interface.
