So, I played and finished Shovel Knight. The game is absolutelly stellar, and you definitelly should get it for whatever system you have.

 
If you've done your homework, you know that Shovel Knight was intentionally designed to look and feel like a good 8-bits game, and it surely does. The people at Yatch Club Games go to far lengths explaining how to properly draw the sprites and make them leak 8-bit-limitation exuberance through your screen.
 
Well, I absolutelly loved it, and ended up "upgrading" the sprites to a more 16-bit look, respecting the original HQ artwork for Shovel Knight. As you can see, Shovel Knight himself now has a more "proportionate" appearance, and the Enchantress looks more like her artwork counterpart. They also have more colors, something that's always welcome when one is able to use them!
 
Gosh, I loved this game so much. All my kudos to the whole team, and specially the artist, Nick Wozniak. You rock dude!

EDIT: Left them in 2x as they'll be much more readable like this. My intention is that those who played it can imediately recognize it, as the game runs in an ENORMOUS resolution.

Its funny but I actually preffer the original art over this, though I suppose having the ENTIRE game in a 16-bit art syle and actually SEEING that might change my opinion. Either way the game was incredible. I finished it today and its just amazing. The ending made me hapy, surprised, sad, angry, heartbroken and joyous all in that order. And that aside, ur sprites are sweet.

just one thing, isnt it a shovelblade, not just a shovel?
