...I'm not even going to mention that the toungue should be half colored with the greenish red as the head would shade about that much and only the tip being the brightest as its out in the open.

Lol, I also did a dinosaur theme for the challenge. The angle of this subject is really hard to draw from, but you pulled it off, congrats!

Just kidding. I'm deeply grateful for your direct honesty and I will go back and rework the texture and the finer details later tonight. I do admit I was rushed, but also slightly overwhelmed, as it's my largest project to date. Thanks again for your honesty, I look forward to improving my skills.

I know you are still new but seem mature enough to take it.

The pixelling here is a mess and ugly. It does not read as scales or much other than some texture.
This will be added because it shows just enough control to justify it but you have already shown better skill in controlling things on the pixel level and you have to meet or surpass the standard you set for yourself which is the primary thing taken into account when adding anything for anyone at any level.

The form is good and the border is nice.
