@CraftyPixeI
I'm a bit bothered with the perspective as well. I don't know what I could have done differently, though. As far as dithering, I tend to avoid it for the most part, as the effect can give a rough texture to whatever it's applied to. But what's wrong with the ground that I should have worked on it more? I suppose I could have given it a tad bit more fidelity, but I don't see any glaring issues.
- I think the perspective looks a little off. Maybe you could add dithering, and work on the ground before adding clouds : o -
- It just feels like it wasn't planned out that well. I think using this process will help http://i.imgur.com/Zi6xMcj.gif by: CELS. The process isn't by him, or me, but I think it helps a lot. I tried editing it, but it's just not set up that way. I can't find that many 'floating island' pieces, but this would be a good reference http://www.pixeljoint.com/pixelart/58409.htm. Also the purple and the flowers could be removed without any damage to the piece. Higher the contrast in the grass, and the saturation, so it's more appealing. The clouds shouldn't one big bulge. Hope this doesn't sound negative, just giving a lot of critiques. -
