I agree with you on both regards, looking at this now the animation does feel kind of wonky, I'll consider remaking it sometime in the future.
The legs still look a little wonky, although this is much better than your last go. I think because the forward moving leg never extends before touching the ground it still gives it a pendulum feeling,. Check drawings 1 and 7 out on this image from Richard Williams Animator's Survival Kit, which I also suggest you get if you haven't already! :D
Also, I feel that the pelvis is rotating far too much, for as little as the torso is doing. It kind of looks like a machine that has only a pivot and no interal organs to worry about. ;)
@Zarto & Terff - Thank you! :D
@caca - It's a bit tricky to explain, but if you want an example take a look at what's happening with the animation in the face! You can google for a more in-depth explanation if you'd like to know more about it.
Thanks dude! And thanks for the 'eye opening' comment on my last work haha-
- Good job :)! Glad you didn't continue reducing the quality :) -
Oooh I see what you mean, I wasn't even thinking about that when making this.
I'm gonna try to switch out the leg cycles and hopefully that'll fix it haha. Thanks for pointing that out.
Super smooth and detailed. Great job.
Slight critique:
Arms move in the opposite direction of legs when you walk or run. Moving them together is an awkward motion (related: www.youtube.com/watch).
@Damian - Thanks man! I appreciate it. :D
@Zizka - Thanks! I will try to do so haha-
Cool, your use of sel-out is great. It's nice to see people actually do it well.
Same here, I like this one compared to the previous. Just curious, is that a subpixel animation in the eye?
so much better than the last :)
excellent like the stand position
Smooth as silk
