Adarias, thanks a lot, your information is very helpful to me since I try to learn pixel art. As you've seen I was inspired from Kenneth Fejer works, but I cannot still understand some of his technics, especially about hairs. The picture were kinda *antialised* on a black background that's why the outline looks like this, but yes it can be done a lot better. I'm going to take a look at the link you gave to understand it more in details.
i think that, while decent, this could really do with a study of form and some practice anti-aliasing. Since id put money on this being inspired by Kennth Fejer, id suggest you take a look at his pieces like the one he recently posted http://www.pixeljoint.com/pixelart/8327.htm and also to look at traditional portraiture, o get a better sense of how the face looks. All-in-all a nice job, but i see a lot more potential in it than i tihnk this piece has fully realised (and thats a good thing). If you dont intend for it to be used on a light background (as the aa work implies) then you may simply want to post it without transparency
