Thanks for your comment. You're right they're quite similar to those characters you mentioned. These are just samples of the variations we got from the set of base sprites to create the custom characters, though.  The style is very KOF. I was trying to achieve the SNK look when I was working on these. 

To the left, first row: Charlie Nash with Zangief's hairstyle.

To the right, first row: Kazuya Mishima.

They all look like they're from KOF.
