i think that, since the canvas size is so small, dithering would not be ideal. mainly because dithering on a big canvas would be used to seamlessly blend two colours, but on a small canvas it would give texture because you can clearly see the dithering. and since you're doing horns and a metallic substance, dithering would give the wrong texture you want.
also, make sure you have a definite light source. it appears that yours is coming from the viewer, but it's a little inconsistent. try choosing where to put the light source and working out where the shadows and highlights would go according to it.
keep it up! you got a pretty nice piece going here
Even in around the horns? I'm making some adjustments right now to improve :)

(I don't know why the shade of some of the colors changed. Sorry!)
this is really nice, but i'd get rid of the dithereing altogether
definetly! I hope I'm not sounding pessimistic, love it other than the shading!
Noted! I'll revisit the shading around the mask and try to give it a more metalic feel and try to make the lighting pop out more. I feel like the shadowing around the mask/fur could really define how good this piece is.
You've got something funny going on with your shading around the face, I think you're trying to get a fuzzy texture going, but frankly the scale is too small for it to look anything other than offly shaded. Other than that, interesting peice.
Thanks a lot for the input! I appreciate it a lot.
I've updated the texturing and lighting around. I think this piece is done. At least for now haha.
