Entry#001 for @Pixel_Dailies - Theme: General Art Study

This one's a recreation of a notable piece by manga artist Hisashi Eguchi, seen here. (That's the main reason the background is there.) The style employed in that piece was admittedly a lil' hard to recreate for me. Mainly the minimal use of shading left a lot of the lines easy for the eyes to get lost in given the limited sense of depth. It is a style I found interesting though, I'll most likely look into it more to see what benefits can from such a style! :)

Anything I do for dailies will be listed seperately from my "Pixel Diary," and will be numbered seperately. I guess some erratic thoughts will be written with them as seen above, though the big reflections will be saved for the diary. :P | 
I like the colours here and how the lips work but the proportions of the arms and the head angle through it off a little, like you said though that original piece is really hard to recreate.
