Hey its no big deal or bad to work zoomed. We all do it.
You just have to zoom down to 1X every so often to catch yourself.
Of course some apps allow you to have 2 windows at different sizes and that's so helpful.
If your monitor kinda sucks then at least try to have well calibrated contrast which is really what you need anyhow.
Yeah, I do pixel while zoomed in. (Whoops)
Once I get my tablet back (or even a mouse), I won't feel the need to as much, though.
Thanks for the tip.
Maybe you are pixelling while zoomed and not noticing that your colors should contrast a bit more so everything reads well. In this pixel its not that bad but your other two submissions use colors that only when zoomed do you even see them at all.
Generally speaking if you don't see a shade at 1X its a wasted color. Wasting colors in pixelart defeats the whole point.
Ooh thanks. Yeah I'm on a laptop so I end up tilting the screen back or forward and stuff gets wonky, haha.
I'm hella accustomed to painting and blending and all that jazz (and my palettes usually contrast even less! That's actually kind of a general problem), but I like the control involved in pixelling. I started falling back on my old ways a bit, there, though, so I'm gonna try to rework the third one. Every time I look at the first one I cringe a little bit more, so I won't touch that one unless it's to completely redo it.
