Thank you very much Marina! It's always a joy reading your comments. :)
I like it pretty much. Specially the texture and the way you apply it :P
@ Yaume
Hey, thank you! Your compliment about my technique made my day. :P
@ felch
Thanks chap I appreciate it.
I did a smaller version prior to this one but was not satisfied with the outcome. It was just impossible to get the amount of detail and texture on his skin I wanted.
@ jtfjtfjtf
Cheers! Yep, Bonner is the best of them all. ;)
The subtle change of color in the eye's iris is quite similar to your avatar wolf.
Your have an excellent pixel drawing techniche, congratulations
The skin texture you've achieved is great and the eyes look so alive! I just want to see a bit more, damn that canvas restriction! :)
Very cool texture! And I loved Bonner's stuff for Rackham.
@ bob
Hehe, i bet he was badly bullied in school. Thank you very much! :)
I tried my best to make him look as stressed and worn out as possible without changing the ref too much. The easiest way to do that was through the skin texture I think.
Glad you dig the eye!
@ Manupix
Thanks.
Oh yes, It does look pretty wierd. Almost impossible to read it as a hand without knowing about the ref.
Oh god, the acne
The dithering(/texture) works surprisingly well, kudos for being so bold! I dig the strong shadows and as said the texture(/dithering), gives this lovely dovely palette a serious and menacing impression... which I really dig
(and the eye )
Amazing!
Only crit is that the hand isn't obvious at all with this close cropping.
Fantastic use of the purple, and the texture is similarly well done.
Hrhr, cheers, chap! Great to hear that from a portrait pro like you. :)
