"Barão Macaco" is a comic book written by my friend Hector Lima, currently seeking funding through Catarse (Brazil's Kickstarter).

It's about crime, corruption, and a mysterious figure who fights both criminals and cops - and nobody knows exactly why, or which side the so called Monkey Baron is on.

I made this little game title screen mock up to help advertising it. As far as I know, there won't be an english version yet, but if you like what you see, feel free to back it up and spread the word! The whole creative team behind the book is amazing: it's got Hector on story, Milton Sobreiro (Heavy Metal, Zuda Comics, Dark Horse) on pencils and covers/colors/letters by Felipe Sobreiro (from Image Comics' Luther Strode).

@eishiya Thanks, and you're right about all that! I'll try tinkering with it later. Could use some sub-pixel animating too. :)

@adscomics Thanks! Now that you mention it, I can see it! Like a modern day Ganondorf - before he turns into the gigantic demon-pig, of course!

That is a very cool title screen! One thing that bugs me about the animation is how sharply the shoulders jump. Looks more like the character is dancing rather than coolly walking. It's tough to make an animation with 1px worth of movement smoother, but I think it should be doable if you angle the shoulders down/up for a frame instead of just snapping them into place.
