A small collection of sprites done for pratice purposes. They are these little dudes:

The first is "Solbrain", the protagonist from the japanese version of "Shatterhand". The idea was to reinterpret his sprite, as opposed to simply convert his artwork to a sprite.

The second is Alex Kidd, SEGA's classic hit.

The third one is Bubblun, Puzzle Bobble's protagonist dinossaur. His case was a funny one, as I wanted to reinvent the character but in a semi-realistic unexpected way. Well, when you do this he becomes Yoshi, apparently.

The fourth one is Castle Excellent's protagonist.

The fifth one is "Aban Hawkins & The 1001 Spikes" protagonist, Aban Hawkins. I was UTTERLY HOOKED in this game, so I had to create a sprite for him.

I can't recommend you enough to visualize these in a 2x zoom.

I opted to leave a black outline on the more cartoonish characters. I freakin' love black outlines.
