Yes, I improved quite a lot while pixeling it.
My first idea was without shadows since ghost usually do not cast shadows. Some may tho - too many different interpretations. However when I started to work on the shadows I felt like they harm the piece overall or rather the pavement. That is why I returned to no shadows - as it was supposed to be :)

Creepy! The atmosphere is pretty great. The faces of the characters are quite scary. The flashing light is nice. Good stuff. Cheers!

I've stalked the whole proccess of this one, a great experience for you + ended with a really good pixel-art. 
You worked really hard and tried your best and I'm glad to know it was fun and a learning experience
The lighting is incredibly well done, bravo. Though, some of the lines and clusters look a bit sketchy.
