thanks for all the crits and comments folks!
as this is actually a mock-up, having stylize shadow made it a drawing
I actually missed alot of things... however this is like my first time making an interior. So I'll just make another tavern instead :)
The head on the wall is awesome and in my opinion, the best part about this piece. I also agree with the others that it needs more of a shadow under the stairs.
Overall a very good piece.
Now that's what i like!
I like how you kept everything so simple and even like stylized - except for the characters and some elements like the bottles! Really, really like it.
It's also not something you see all day, just... really well done man!!
An earnest work, and wholeheartedly well intentioned.
And while as a drawing, it achieves moderate success... I can't say the same for pixel technique and skill. Everpresent is there banding, bad jaggies, lack of coherent light, nonsensical clusters, noise, and pillow shading. It looks like a coloured lineart, and even the color pallete could be improved greatly.
I'd do you well to go over the more popular tutorials out there.
Very good style, although it should have a more perceptive light source. Everything seems to be lit from above but if that's the case then the zone beneath the stairs should be darker than the rest of the room..
Also, the stairs are missing one or two steps. They should end at the same level as the wood bar that's supporting them.
Nevertheless it's a good iso scene. Good job
Looks great to me! Only crit is that maybe the floor and brick wall could use just a little more detail (like cracks n stuff). Would totally play a game that looks like this though.
Perhaps the floor or the similarly coloured wall could have been a different colour or shade, but it's all good :)
Oh, It makes you want to play!
