I wanted to try to remake a piece I did a full year ago to test if I've made any progress. Here is the original  http://www.pixeljoint.com/pixelart/82569.htm , though they're not really that comparable since the newer one is twice in size..

I'm not entirely happy about her dress and hands, and readability might still be an issue, but at least I got something done.

It looks like you missed erasing some of the white background in some spots.

Although the scales on the two images are different, the improvement in your techniques and colour choice are quite noticeable!
