This is a mockup for a Magi Nation board game based on the card game/video game/cartoon. As the theme of Magi Nation involves blending creatures with their terrain types and everything revolves around terrain (Jungle (Paradwynn), Swamp (Bograth), Grasslands (Weave), etc) I figured the backstory could involve the Core (middle of the earth evil faction) setting off a conflict where each group attempted to expand their terrain into other areas creating a tactical boardgame scenario with creatures in piece or card form. Each faction's tokens on territories could represent the strength of their influence on the area.
If this took place on an electronic media the map could be recentered at the edges of the screen.
I ran out of time and there are lots of things I'd love to add at some point: refine border edges or figure out how the borders could be more visible in dark map areas, add card or figure representations, and any other appropriate pieces or edging.
Shown on the map are regions and/or faction tokens for Cald (Volcanic), Bograth (Swamp), Kybar's Teeth (Mountain range and forests), Underneath (Mushroom and cavern). Numerous other factions exist but were beyond the scope of this mockup: Orothe (Sea), Arderial (Sky), Core (center of the earth?), Naroom (Forest), the Weave (Grasslands), Paradwynn (Jungle), Nar (Ice and Snow), D'resh (Desert).
