I saw the public queue emptied but nope... still here... :)
This picture looks good, but at first sight I didn't recognize the Moon. Mainly because the shapes on the surface of the moon are made from impact craters, so they are a sum of spherical craters, and you did more an orthogonal thing...
Just saying :D
Good job, man.
Perhaps if you allow the light to reflect in not just a purely "spherical" way, so allow some light to follow the edges of the craters, looking at some example photos will help to show this idea c:
Your irregular dithering is pretty good, but it didn't achieve much of an effect. There are still visible bands of individual colors.
The subtle dithering is pretty good. It looks like you took a spray can and went to town on the surface, which gives it a very sandy texture.
The solid dark spots on the moon's surface contrasts with the texture. You should make them blend in more.
The spheric volume is not achieved. Gradient bans should be rounder.
was it updated. Typically the moon has a high albedo, meaning it is very reflective.
well i didn't know you guys actually gave a sh*t about this pixel... i suppose i've made my mark on PixelJoint now.
