Reflections would be nice, if I was able to do them. Everything I tired looked completely terrible

i think that base dither clashes with clusters of the bal. also, wouln't there be reflections on the base from the ball (and on the ball from the base for that matter)? you still have colour allowance, you might want to consider adding some reflections to make it more realistic. i like the shiny parts on the ball.
