@4red This project is actually older than Shovel Knight, but I guess its success made me realize "NES-like games can be successful too"
Yeah it would be a lot of work. But with this style being easier it also means I can do more stuff, and that the game can actually be finished :P
Looks like it's Mega Man inspired. It's nice to see a Mega Man-inspired game that doesn't have a protagonist whose design is intentionally meant to remind people of the blue bomber. I really like the golden-brown tiles and the shells in the rocks.
Rather awesome.
Not convinced by the spikes though. Are they meant to be glass or crystal?
Nice one, i see so much NES-like work after Shovel Knight came out. I would like to see some pieces done in 16 or 32 colors but with no restrictions. Of course is harder without the NES restrictions, more colors means more work.
