Thanks for including a progress animation, so fun to watch it come together!
Speaking of technical stuff, do you use the actual 'algorithims' for where AA pixels should be placed when using the antialiasing? Or do you fiddle with it a bit until it looks good?
What is this talent thing you are going on about. I think I heard about it before, but it strikes me as super overrated.
Yes, I always liked to draw, but I have been doing pixelart professionally for almost 10 years now and 2 years before that for fun, so it is safe to assume that I spent over 10.000 hours pixelling already, so I would say it is not strange that I got stuff like AA and the like down pat (also because I am interested in technical aspects of art).
Well, it partly was. Which is also why I did not use any greys on the actual image.
How can I resist vibrant, creative colors (even if that wasn't the intention)? Wonderful piece!
DatMuffinman: I don't go and do maths or anything, but I also usually do not fiddle. I generally get stuff looking good with minimal editing. Sometimes curves can be a bit trickier and then some minor fiddling might be involved.
