Hehe, thank you very much!
Unusual forms and symmetry combined have some interesting effects on the human mind sometimes. If you look at something like this for long enough, more and more faces and body like shapes will appear. Quite strange to be honest....
Rock on!
Wow I really love this. It's like a deep dream. Would make a really beautiful album cover for a metal band :)
Hehe, thanks.
It would be cool to see you pixel a bigger piece.
Feel free to use one of my palettes if you want to. :)
Don't mention it :) your pixelart always Looks Amazing ^^ and this particular piece really motivates me to Start working on my first, bigger pixelart...
@ Vinsanity
Thank you very much for the nice words. That FF reference is am awesome compliment!
I always try to build my ramps with as much contrast as possible. Most of the time, a few well-picked colours are enough for that.
I dont know why, but the Design and colors somehow Remind me of something out of final fantasy VI, but more detailed and Better, haha :D great Job on this One. I am always amazed by artists like you, who manage to make such Amazing art with such a Limited pallet.
They just get better and better. Those blue eyes are amazing.
@ CELS
Thanks a ton, chap!
I actually had started to animate it but quit after 10 minutes... I just couldn't make myself work on it anymore. ;)
Great stuff! Very groovy use of the purple and green. Although I would have loved to see it animated with blinking eyes too :D
Looks nice. Kinda reminds me of your "Keep on Smiling".
@ Emperor
Cheers, mate!
I'd love to do that! No idea how porgramme though. ;)
@ Daruda
Thank you very much.
The first palette had no green and a much more monochromatic ramp. I just tried to neutralise that bright orange with green.
Can't wait to see your piece. :)
@ rhlstudios
Thats a huge compliment, thank you!
It's always a joy to read your comments.
@ Manu
Yep, that's the reason why it's symmetrical. ;)
Thank you!
Why haven't you done your own shmup yet? This looks like something straight out of the dark depths of space!
Awesome, I noticed that it was your instantly. (:
I like your color choice, but I'm not sure about that green, I can understand it, but somehow I don't see it too well there.
And now I feel like trying to do something similar.
I'm going to use this one as an avatar! Great concept, lovely shading and colors
@ Mrmo
That means a lot! Thanks.
I even did 2 of the eyes in Grafx2, but had to get back to PS for the 'tricky' parts. ;)
@ ADrawingMan
Thank you very much.
Yep, the ramps are a bit unusual. Glad you like it regardless. :)
LSD on Acid?
Also just make half of the pic and copy paste reverse.
9/9 would print and hang on wall :D
...I wish Grafx2 had some sort of inbuilt symmetry tool :D
I hope that more pieces like this will start to pop up, it's a really cool style that seems like if done right, can turn out looking awesome like yours ;D
My only personal crit, would be that I'm not a huge fan of the green and purple. Looks pretty great regardless.
This looks like something close to what graindolium would do, except I can look at this without needing to have a crucifix in my hand.
Great piece!
